Two individuals acquired burn accidents and three different adults have been displaced from a home hearth Wednesday in Serra Mesa.

The blaze was reported at 4:37 a.m. Wednesday and firefighting crews arrived to the single-story residence within the 2900 block of Greyling Drive at 4:42 a.m., in response to a San Diego Hearth-Rescue Division incident log.

Firefighters arrived on the residence to seek out gentle smoke exhibiting.

At 4:46 a.m. crews reported listening to an explosion inside the house. Firefighters prevented the fireplace from spreading to close by properties.

Two victims affected by burn accidents have been rushed to UCSD Medical Heart. Their situation was not instantly recognized. Three different adults have been displaced from the fireplace and assisted by the Purple Cross.

Metro Arson Strike Group members have been investigating the reason for the fireplace.
