A San Diego police officer was wounded Thursday in a taking pictures in a Chollas Creek-area neighborhood.
The firearm assault was reported about 11:15 a.m. within the 5300 block of Ogden Avenue, stated Lt. Matthew Carpenter of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division, which was known as in to help police with the seek for the assailant.
The wounded officer’s situation was not instantly obtainable.
Police, together with SWAT personnel, fanned out via the neighborhood close to 54th Avenue and College Avenue looking for the shooter.
The circumstances that led to the gunfire had been unclear.
