 A 33-year-old Temecula man died when his motorbike crashed into the again of Toyota truck on state Route 76 close to the La Jolla Indian Reservation, the California Freeway Patrol stated Monday.

At 6:29 p.m. Sunday, the rider of a Yamaha Tenere 700 was heading westbound on SR-76 when his motorbike crashed into the rear of the Toyota and he was ejected, in response to the CHP’s Hunter Gerber.

The CHP and La Jolla Reservation paramedic and fireplace crews responded to the scene to help the rider, however he was pronounced lifeless on the scene, Gerber stated.

The roadway was affected for a number of hours following the crash because the scene was being investigated. It was not instantly identified if alcohol or medicine contributed to the reason for the crash.

The investigation was ongoing Monday morning.
