San Diego lifeguards on Thursday continued to work to free a person who grew to become trapped on the bluffs at Sundown Cliffs.

The person was reported to be caught on the cliffs at 3:43 p.m., in response to San Diego Lifeguard Battalion Chief Jeff Mitchell.

“A person both fell, or went down right into a gap, about 15 toes down towards the seaside on the cliffs and lifeguards have been attempting to extricate him,” Mitchell stated. “Now we have six fireplace models, an ambulance, lifeguards and two battalion chiefs responding.”

The unidentified man, although caught, is believed to be in good situation.

The division initially reported on social media that the sufferer was caught underneath damaged concrete sections on the cliffs close to Orchard Avenue and Cable Avenue.

Cable was anticipated to be closed from the cliffs to Orchard Boulevard till a minimum of 9 p.m., police stated.
