5 stolen autos have been discovered and 9 folks have been arrested within the first two weeks of November with the assistance of an automatic license plate studying program, the El Cajon Police Division stated Thursday.

This system’s cameras ship a real-time crime alert to legislation enforcement when a stolen car, or identified needed car, from a state or nationwide database, is detected, in accordance with ECPD Lt. Jeremiah Larson.

“One of many autos discovered was taken throughout a residential housebreaking in Nationwide Metropolis,” the lieutenant stated.

5 youngsters ranging in age from 14 to 18 years outdated have been arrested after allegedly being present in one other stolen car, Larson stated.
