A 52-year-old girl was struck by a car and killed whereas she was strolling throughout a road within the Fairmont Park neighborhood, the San Diego Police Division mentioned.

At 4:57 p.m. Sunday, a 32-year-old girl was driving northbound on Residence Avenue in a 2020 Honda Pilot approaching the intersection of Residence Avenue and Gateway Drive, in keeping with SDPD Officer John Buttle.

A girl strolling eastbound throughout Residence Avenue stepped in entrance of the Honda, the officer mentioned.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, the place she died from her accidents, Buttle mentioned.

SDPD’s Visitors Division responded to the scene and was investigating the collision.
