A complete of 26 drivers have been cited at a DUI checkpoint carried out by the Oceanside Police Division, the company mentioned Wednesday.

One driver was cited for having an open container of alcohol and the remainder obtained citations for unlicensed automobiles or having a suspended or revoked license, in line with OPD Sgt. Clint Bussey.

A complete of 1,347 automobiles handed via the checkpoint within the 3500 block of Oceanside Boulevard from 6 p.m. to midnight final Friday, the sergeant mentioned.

Funding for the checkpoint was supplied by a grant from the California Workplace of Site visitors Security via the Nationwide Freeway Site visitors Security Administration.
