
A web-based fundraiser has been launched in assist of the San Diego Homosexual Males’s Refrain forward of a cross-border collaboration by the group in July.
A refrain board member, Layla Jaffe, is searching for $2,500 for the group through a GoFundMe.com web page.
In her fundraising pitch, she referred to as the refrain “an integral a part of the San Diego creative neighborhood and a dynamic power for social change.”
“This refrain connects communities and gives a haven for all whereas by no means shying away from social activism …” Jaffe wrote. “Any donation permits the SDGMC to proceed its important work and helps its vital creative and social impression in San Diego and past.”
The refrain is planning a trio of upcoming live shows with Coro Homosexual de Tijuana and Coro Homosexual Ciudad de México. One will happen at Centro Cultural Tijuana (CECUT) on July 27, whereas two are set for the downtown Balboa Theatre from July 29-30.
The exhibits are referred to as “Stronger Collectively,” or “Más Fuertes Juntos” in Spanish.
