An officer was injured Saturday when he was allegedly hit with a metallic pole wielded by an armed theft suspect who was subsequently arrested, police mentioned.
The suspect allegedly had used the 4-foot metallic pole in a Ridgeview-Webster theft, in accordance with the San Diego Police Division.
The suspect allegedly started hitting a patrol automobile at about 8:45 a.m. Saturday, then ran towards an Arco gasoline station at 4333 House Ave., close to Fairmount Avenue.
One other officer tried to cease the suspect and was hit within the neck with the pole, police mentioned. The suspect allegedly resisted arrest and a physique wrap was used to manage the person.
