Caltrans officers introduced Sunday that the development of 4 remaining new miles of carpool lanes on Interstate 5 in North County will probably be accomplished Monday.
The brand new northbound lanes, between Palomar Airport Street in Carlsbad and State Route 78 in Oceanside, will hook up with the present 9 miles of HOV lanes on I-5 from Lomas Santa Fe Drive in Solana Seaside to Palomar Airport Street, the company mentioned.
The brand new southbound HOV lanes have been open since June 14.
