A bike driver and his passenger have been hospitalized Friday with severe accidents after colliding with a Dodge Charger at an Otay Mesa intersection.
San Diego Police Division Officer David O’Brien stated the incident occurred Friday at 7:23 a.m. at 2000 Britannia Blvd. in Otay Mesa.
“A 25-year-old man driving a Dodge Charger was stopped for the purple mild on the eastbound State Route 905 off-ramp to Britannia Boulevard,” stated O’Brien.
“A 27-year-old man and his 29-year-old male passenger have been driving on a Italika FT 150 southbound on Britannia Boulevard. The Charger entered the intersection on a inexperienced mild making a left flip onto northbound Britannia Boulevard. The bike entered the intersection towards the purple mild and collided with the left facet of the Charger.”
O’Brien stated the bike rider sustained a fractured thighbone and his passenger suffered two fractured vertebrae. Each have been transported by ambulance to an area hospital for remedy.
The motive force of the Charger, who was not recognized, was unhurt.
The motorcyclist and his passenger weren’t recognized.
“Alcohol was decided to not be an element within the collision,” O’Brien stated.
