A lady was behind bars Monday on suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter in reference to a Vista freeway accident that killed her two kids over the weekend.

The occasions that led to the double fatality on the eastbound aspect of state Route 78 started shortly after 6 p.m. Sunday, when Sandra Ortiz, 33, pulled over for unknown causes close to Mar Vista Drive, in response to the California Freeway Patrol.

After the car got here to a cease, Ortiz’s kids, ages 10 and 16, acquired out and have been hit by an oncoming automobile, the CHP reported. The victims, whose names weren’t instantly obtainable, died on the scene.
