A person and a girl had been arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy in reference to retail thefts throughout North County, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division introduced Friday.

John Michael Mastrobuono and Jenise Christine Mastrobuono had been served with an arrest warrant Wednesday within the 100 block of La Casa Drive by deputies with the Vista Sheriff’s Station’s Group Policing and Downside-Fixing Unit.

The warrant was the results of an investigation into thefts at quite a few retail shops in North County and throughout Southern California, based on SDCSD Sgt. Brent Longfellow.

In the course of the search, deputies recovered near $200,000 price of stolen merchandise, together with wine and champagne, the sergeant stated.

John Mastrobuono, 49, was booked into the Vista Detention Facility on Wednesday and was charged with two felonies, grand theft and conspiracy. He faces arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Friday, based on jail information.

Jenese Mastrobuono, 45, was booked into the Las Colinas Reentry Facility in Santee and was charged with two felonies, grand theft and conspiracy. She additionally faces arraignment at 1:30 p.m. Friday.
