Authorities Monday recognized a person discovered crushed to dying final week in Fallbrook.
Patrol personnel responding to a name for help discovered 38-year-old Douglas Hardy lifeless about 4:30 p.m. Friday on the Econo Lodge within the 1600 block of South Mission Highway, in accordance with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division.
Following a foot chase, deputies arrested the suspected assailant, 35-year-old parolee Brian Francis Zielinski, Lt. Joseph Jarjura stated.
Zielinski was booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of homicide. He was being held with out bail pending arraignment, scheduled for Thursday afternoon.
The county Medical Examiner’s Workplace has decided that Hardy died of blunt-force accidents inflicted by one other particular person.
Officers have launched no suspected motive for the alleged slaying and haven’t disclosed the connection, if any, between the suspect and sufferer.
