
An inmate within the custody of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division has died at Tri-Metropolis Medical Middle, authorities mentioned Sunday.
Zeke Davis, 43, died at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, sheriff’s officers mentioned.
Davis was arrested on June 28 by the Oceanside Police Division on suspicion of resisting arrest, battery on an officer and violation of a brief restraining order. He was transported to the Vista Detention Facility for reserving.
Through the reserving course of, Davis was medically screened by sheriff’s workers who decided that he ought to be taken to the hospital for a follow-up. Upon arrival, medical workers evaluated Davis and admitted him for a pre-existing medical situation. He was supplied care and remained on the hospital till the time of his demise.
The sheriff’s murder unit will examine, as is the protocol for all in-custody deaths. The trigger and method of demise might be decided by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Workplace.
Two different males in sheriff’s custody died inside three days of one another within the remaining week of June. The medical expert decided that one died by suicide and the opposite from pure causes.
