A 47-year-old man died after being ejected from a pickup when the driving force ran off the highway, down an embankment and right into a citrus orchard in San Pasqual Valley, the San Diego Police Division stated Wednesday.

The crash occurred at 11:19 p.m. Tuesday within the 18100 block of San Pasqual Valley Street, in keeping with Officer David O’Brien.

The 25-year-old driver of a grey 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was heading east when the car crossed over the double yellow painted traces and went down a 50-foot embankment right into a citrus orchard, O’Brien stated.

The motive force was flown by helicopter to a hospital, however his passenger was pronounced lifeless on the scene.
