 Authorities Wednesday publicly recognized a person who died in a predawn Labor Day visitors crash close to Dos Picos County Park.

James Alvarez, 23, misplaced management of the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta he was driving on state Route 67 in Ramona shortly after 3:30 a.m. Monday, in accordance with the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Workplace and the California Freeway Patrol.

The northbound automobile veered to the left over a set of double yellow traces close to Boortz Lane, crossing straight into the trail of a southbound 2019 Toyota Camry, CHP Public Affairs Officer Jared Grieshaber stated.

Alvarez, a Ramona resident, died on the scene of the accident.

Paramedics took the 20-year-old Ramona girl who had been driving the Camry to Palomar Medical Heart for remedy of non-life-threatening accidents.
