With the assistance of a brand new automated license plate studying system, police recovered two stolen automobiles and a stolen utility trailer and three drivers have been arrested on suspicion of car theft over three days final weekend, the El Cajon Police Division stated Thursday.

Round 12:15 p.m. Saturday, officers started receiving the system’s report of a stolen utility trailer within the japanese a part of the town, in keeping with ECPD Lt. Jeremiah Larson. Officers situated the stolen trailer and stopped it within the unincorporated space of El Cajon. The driving force was arrested and the trailer was recovered.

The following day, round 4:55 a.m. Sunday, the system’s cameras alerted to a stolen Chevy Malibu close to Second Avenue and Important Avenue in El Cajon, the lieutenant stated. Officers situated the automobile in a fuel station parking zone and arrested the driving force, a 44-year-old Lakeside girl.

Then on Monday, round 2:15 p.m., the license plate reader system alerted to a stolen Chevy Sonic close to Broadway and Mollison Avenue in El Cajon. Officers situated the automobile and stopped it close by. The automobile was pushed by a 31-year-old San Diego man who was arrested for the stolen automobile and two narcotics-related warrants.
