Considered one of two inmates who walked away from a Kearny Mesa midway home over the weekend was captured in Orange County Monday, authorities reported.
Brokers with the California Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation arrested Janelle Rice, 32, with out incident within the metropolis of Stanton about 8:45 a.m., based on CDCR public affairs.
Rice, who was sentenced in San Bernardino County in February to a four- 12 months jail time period for housebreaking and theft, was re-incarcerated on the California Establishment of Girls in Chino. Her case will likely be referred to the San Diego County District Legal professional’s Workplace for consideration of escape prices.
On Saturday, Rice and fellow inmate Diana Sanchez, 31, sneaked away from the Custody to Group Transitional Reentry Program facility on Armstrong Avenue and disabled their digital ankle displays.
Sanchez, who stays at giant, was sentenced in Los Angeles County in March to a five-year time period for housebreaking and identification theft.
The CCTRP system permits eligible feminine convicts to serve their ends of their custody phrases in a group facility in lieu of state jail. This system gives a variety of rehabilitative companies that help with substance- abuse restoration, employment, training, housing, social assist and household reunification.
