A jail inmate already dealing with an unrelated assault cost was re-arrested this week on suspicion of fatally choking a person whose physique turned up final fall on a Skyline-area sidewalk, authorities reported Tuesday.

Tracy Lamont Jackson, 54, was booked Monday afternoon on suspicion of murdering 36-year-old Marvin Spence, whose physique was found about 6:30 a.m. Sept. 26 behind the sufferer’s parked silver Dodge Charger within the 100 block of Royal Oak Drive, close to Skyline Hills Park, in accordance with the San Diego Police Division.

An post-mortem decided that Spence’s demise was a murder by strangulation, SDPD Lt. Jud Campbell stated.

The lieutenant didn’t disclose what led investigators to conclude that Jackson, who’s believed to be homeless, fatally assaulted Spence, and police have launched no suspected motive for the alleged slaying.

The suspect was being held with out bail at San Diego Central Jail — the place he has been in custody since final week — pending arraignment within the murder case, which is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon.
