Caltrans is planning one other weekend of bridge work in downtown San Diego, closing all however one lane of northbound Interstate 5 from 9 p.m. Friday night to five a.m. on Monday morning.

Northbound visitors can be affected starting on the Mile of Automobiles Manner off-ramp in Nationwide Metropolis and persevering with previous Route 163 downtown. Drivers are urged to make use of northbound Route 15 and Interstate 805 as an alternative.

Southbound visitors on I-5 won’t be affected, and Route 163 will stay open to visitors coming into and leaving the downtown space.

Crews want the lengthy shutdown to restore the bridge deck over Route 163, the southbound aspect of which was repaired earlier this month and reopened early.
