A former San Diego County sheriff’s deputy who had cocaine in his automotive at a county jail was sentenced Wednesday to 2 years of probation.

Allen Wereski, 49, pleaded responsible final 12 months to a felony depend of possessing medicine on jail property for having cocaine on the Vista Detention Facility.

Instantly following his arrest in February, the division stated he was suspended with out pay.

Sheriff’s Lt. David LaDieu stated in a press release that Wereski “separated from employment with the sheriff’s division on Feb. 10, 2023,” which was one week after his arrest. LaDieu stated peace officer personnel privateness legal guidelines prevented the division from disclosing some other data relating to his separation from the division.
