A excessive wind warning has been issued for the San Diego County mountains Wednesday by the Nationwide Climate Service.

The excessive wind warning will probably be in impact from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 10 a.m. Thursday for Julian and Pine Valley.

West winds from 30 to 40 mph with gusts as much as 70 mph are anticipated. Sturdy winds can injury timber and created tough driving circumstances.

The NWS recommends avoiding forested areas and being round timber and branches.

A wind advisory is in impact for San Diego County valleys and coastal areas till 10 a.m. Thursday.

A file low was reported in Campo on Tuesday. It was 17 levels, breaking the file of 18 levels set in 1951.
