 A hearth that began in a house’s storage and prolonged into the second flooring and attic was extinguished Tuesday, displacing one household, the Escondido Hearth Division mentioned.

Firefighters contained and managed the primary physique of fireplace within the storage, positioned within the 1660 block of East Lincoln Avenue, in about half-hour after it was first reported at 1:19 a.m. Tuesday, officers mentioned.

A complete of 24 firefighters and one hearth prevention specialist responded to the fireplace. The Escondido Police Division performed site visitors management and SDG&E was dispatched to handle the utility state of affairs.

One resident obtained a minor harm and refused transportation to a hospital, and no firefighters have been injured.

The Purple Cross responded to help the displaced household with housing, and a $250 present card was offered to the household on behalf of the California Hearth Basis.

The reason for the fireplace was beneath investigation.
