Pointing to rising anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric, hostility and laws, greater than 140 San Diego-area organizations, elected and religion leaders and companies issued a joint assertion Monday supporting Pleasure occasions.

The joint assertion underlines the significance of Pleasure occasions, “not simply as celebrations, but in addition as potent symbols of defiance towards hate, resilience towards oppression, and an affirmation of existence.”

The assertion goes on to sentence violence and hate speech and strikes a defiant tone towards such.
