A person was arrested this week for allegedly bringing a ghost gun onto the grounds of an Otay Mesa jail, authorities reported Thursday.

Deputies patrolling within the 400 block of Alta Highway noticed Isaiah Cisneros, 21, driving right into a restricted space at George F. Bailey Detention Facility shortly after 3 p.m. Monday, in line with the San Diego County Sheriff’s Division.

“Deputies made a site visitors cease and contacted the occupants” sheriff’s Sgt. Aaron Brooke mentioned. “With their consent, deputies searched the automotive. A loaded 9mm with no figuring out serial quantity was situated within a backpack on the passenger floorboard.”

Cisneros, who allegedly admitted that the unlawful firearm belonged to him, was arrested and booked into San Diego Central Jail on suspicion of bringing a gun onto jail property, having a hid firearm and possessing a ghost gun, Brooke mentioned.
