No less than one individual was killed Monday morning in an obvious alcohol-fueled head-on crash involving two sedans in Ramona.

The crash was reported at 3:41 a.m. on Important Avenue at Boortz Lane,  in line with the California Freeway Patrol.

Officers stated the male driver of a Volkswagen apparently crossed the middle line and collided with a feminine driving a Toyota.

Firefighters needed to extricate the male sufferer, who was declared deceased on the scene. The opposite driver was hospitalized.

Alcohol is believed to be concerned as open containers had been discovered within the Volkswagen, in line with the CHP

Important Avenue, which is state Route 67, was closed in each instructions for the investigation.
