
The Carlsbad Police Division will conduct a DUI checkpoint from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday at Carlsbad Boulevard and Beech Avenue within the village space.
Throughout the checkpoint, officers will search for indicators that drivers are inebriated, marijuana or different medicine.
“The protection of our group is our highest precedence,” stated Officer Kyle Clement.
Drivers charged with DUI face a mean of $13,500 in fines and penalties, in addition to a suspended license.
Funding for this system was offered by a grant from the California Workplace of Site visitors Security by means of the Nationwide Freeway Site visitors Security Administration.
