A bit of scenic state Route 1 in Huge Sur fell into the Pacific Ocean over the weekend, closing all state parks within the space.

Caltrans stated the “slip out” occurred simply south of the Rocky Creek Bridge in Monterey County round 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Engineers had been working to stabilize the street, whereas convoys had been being organized for important journey by the realm.

The parks closed embody Pfeiffer Huge Sur State Park, Andrew Molera State Park, Limekiln State Park, Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park and Level Sur State Historic Park.

The Division of Parks and Recreation stated all tenting reservations might be cancelled, and refunds might be processed.
