
An 82-year-old lady sustained a fractured left femur Friday when she was struck by a truck crossing a road in Hillcrest in a motorized wheelchair and the motive force fled.
The crash occurred round 4:50 p.m. close to College and Sixth Avenues as the lady was crossing Sixth Avenue in a marked crosswalk whereas using a motorized wheelchair eastbound on the south facet of College Avenue, in line with San Diego Police Division Officer Robert Heims.
An unidentified motorist was driving an older lifted black truck heading eastbound on College Avenue, turned proper onto Sixth Avenue, heading southbound, and struck the lady’s wheelchair earlier than fleeing, Heims mentioned.
The girl was taken to a hospital for a fractured left femur, and her accidents have been deemed non-life threatening.
The San Diego Police Division Visitors Division was investigating the hit-and-run collision, Heims mentioned.
